Mission Statement
The mission of Lamar Consolidated ISD Librarians is to create a physical and digital environment in which our students, staff, and community can strengthen their natural inquisitive nature, foster a love of reading, and serve as a collaborative resource for teachers and staff in developing and delivering powerful learning experiences across all curricular areas.

Student Checkout and Classes
The library is open during school hours (7:45 – 3:10).
ECSE, Kindergarten, & 1st Grade Students may check out 1 book at a time.
2nd – 5th grade students may check out 2 books at atime.
Library Activities
The library sponsors a fall Book Fair and a spring Read-A-Thon fundraiser. These events are meant to encourage at home reading and the proceeds are used to buy books, host author visits and other student experiences, and purchase other materials to enhance the library program. In addition, the library sponsors several voluntary reading enrichment programs including the Beanstack Reading Challenges and the Birthday Book Club.
Volunteers
Library volunteers are an essential part of our program. They help in a variety of ways and are greatly appreciated. Please contact Mrs. Collins if you interested in volunteering.
