Hi Frost Flyers! My name is Jessica Givs and I am honored to be the counselor at Frost. As a school counselor, my job is to support students, families, and teachers as children build important skills for school and life. Students might meet me in the classroom, in a small group with friends, or individually. I am extremely excited about this year and the opportunities that are to come for our students.

How the counselor supports:

· Teaches classroom lessons on topics like kindness, respect, and making good choices.

· Provides short-term, small-group or one-on-one support when students are struggling with worries, behavior, or changes at home.

· Works with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment.

· Connects families with helpful resources when needed.

Character Counts:

Each month during the 2025-2026 school year, Lamar CISD will recognize one of the Six Pillars of Character as part of the District’s Whole Child Health and Wellness initiative. The Six Pillars of Character are the core ethical values that help instill a positive school climate for students and create a culture of kindness, making schools a safe environment for students to learn.
